Just curios on what the best way to teach a dog to stay kenneled in the field is. I have a golden retriever she does really well at retrieving she just isnt very good at sitting still when beside me. I was thinking of getting a mutt hut but not sure how to train to stay in it. I do not use e-collars on my dog.  any help would be appreciated.

I should have added also she is 2 years old, and also we let our dogs break at shot being it is usually the two guys I hunt with.  The problem is in between flights. I know the off season she needs more work but what would be the best method for steading her. Or do you think with her age this will come with time.
