Craig-

I sure Shane will be BUT will you also be blowing in the open and 2 man events? (Duck and/or Goose?) Whatever the case look me up when you get there.  I will be setting up Friday and there all weekend.  after Saturday I'm sure my jaw and lips will be shot and I will be unable to keep the call sealed Cheesy.

Take Care,

Adam

I thought I was ready but now I'm not so sure.  Defiantly as ready as I can be for goose BUT I've been having a rough few days with my duck routine.  My 3 topper has been really good until just a couple days ago.  Oh well.. I will try my best and let things fall where they may.  It will be a great weekend no matter what.  I just want to have fun and try to put a couple good routines together.  I have no illusions of winning But I would like to be in the 3rd round Smiley  And get to the 2nd round in the state duck.

See you there.

Craig and Adam-
You  both did awesome in the contest and I learned so much from everyone!
It was a good first contest for me to see how everything rolls, and there were
a lot of encouraging guys there to help me out!  Now all I have to do is review and review
the video I took of one of Shane's routines, and then get ready for next year!!

And Shane don't tell anyone, but I woulda given you first! (no competition LOL)  You did GREAT!

It was fun talking to y'all, and getting to know you a little better!

Andrew-

Thanks for the very kind words.....  Embarrassed

How did you do today? Did you also blow in the goose?  I thought you sounded great in the Novice and SO did Craig.  I was really happy to see the 19 people in the bullpen.  That was crazy. Never seen that many people in a novice contest.   It was a fun weekend (hot but fun).

P.S.  Shane had a great couple rounds and there was nothing that most experienced or (dare I say) unbiased judges would have deducted anything for.  Shane was defiantly in the money.

Take care,

Adam

Andrew,Adam,Spencer

It was nice to meet you this weekend.Andrew congrats. on both of the contests you called in. Second round in the novice and the win in the juniors.
Adam, great job in the novice, very respectable. The caller that finished in second, finished third in the CA State competition.you sounded GOOD.I didn't get to hear the goose comp you were in,you also called in the two man meat(thank you for the lesson) You had a busy weekend.
Lets give Brett his do,after all he did win the Novice,He did a great job.

I am thinking about changing my middle name to SQUAWK I do it so often
I had a great time and learned some more about competition calling.I can't wait to make the changes and try again.
I forgot to mention that Spencer and his partner took third in the open two man meat calling contest Fantastic job!!!!

Thanks guys!

Adam- I ended up taking 1st in the junior contest!  Craig and Brett helped me out A LOT right before the contest, although I think I forgot most of it during my routines! haha
But now I have a lot of stuff to build my calling on, and I already can't wait til next years novice!

I was lucky that I turned 18 today and not before the junior contest! It was my first and only time in the junior! lol
Can't wait to see how every ones calling helps them in this years hunting!!

Glad to hear you won.  It was obvious that you had been working on a routine for some time.  It sounded good.  Most of it (at least for me anyway) is internal.   You can blow a routine perfect 10 times in a row in you home but all bets are off when we hit that stage.  It's a lot of fun!  I know I will be taking a few more road trips this next year.  Only way to get stage time is to find a stage to blow on.   Grin

Have a good one!
