If it was not opening day of Sept Goose I would have debated going for sure.  I don't know of any Oregon guys that will be there for the same reason.  lots of geese to help thin out  Grin

Let us know how it goes....  Should be a very good event.  I know it was last year.    I wish the Waterfowl weekend in Lacey (Cabela's) would have a contest.  Not sure why they aren't they should have plenty of people and judges to run at least a couple events.  But maybe not?

Take care,

Adam

Andrew
I knew you were going to ask.I have been trying to come up with an answer for you,I don't know if I can explain why over an internet post.I went to the contest, but I didn't call in any of the competitions.Had a good time and as always I learned something new about calling that will make my routine more solid.
I think my priorities were a little skewed and I didn't feel comfortable calling. So I work on the priorities and try to be ready for the next contest.I heard and met some very good callers over the weekend it was a good time.

Was it the event itself or other callers that made you uneasy about getting up on stage?  I'm glad you had a good time!

Regards,

The contest was top notch,as were all the callers.I made the choice not to call based on other things, things that had nothing to do with calling,or the contest.I was glad to be there.

I'm glad you had a good time!!
And don't feel bad about not competing, as long as you learned more and had fun doing it, then it was well worth the trip!
Can't wait to be in the Oregon Novice with ya again next year...
