Good grief!! That is a lot of birds. When I first read the artical I did'ent understand it.( 6 shots and 6 birds and the huge number of 705) Then I saw New Zeland and it made a little more sence. Still a huge amount of birds non the less. I think thats more then most groups shoot in a year!!!

Any Bands on the birds?

  well from what I know there may not have been any. I can only recall some banding on geese in the 80s in the Marlbrough region, Fish and Game NZ do band each year some Mallards, Grey ducks, Shoveler ducks and Paradise Shelduck
