Been seeing some really good canada goose numbers in the following areas of Harford County this week.

Jarrettsville, Pylesville, Forest Hill, Whitehall and Fallston.

We've been doing really well and most people I talk to have been having a pretty decent season so far.  The clock is ticking though with 2 and half weeks remaining for the season.

Well the cold weather is starting to kick in here in Maryland.

A lot of ponds are frozen.  Some are still open, but I fear not much longer.  With a about a week and a half left of goose season, I hope our birds don't fly further south.

Still seeing as of yesterday good numbers.  Went in the morning and unfortunately only killed one.  We were hunting a bean field.  Across the road in the wheat we had about a thousand in the field.  We just couldn't pull any our way.  Unfortunately we had to wrap it up about 10:30 in the AM so I don't know how much better we would have done if we could have stayed out longer.  In fact they were starting to move good just as we were wrapping it up.

Oh well, hope to hunt that wheat field some time in the next couple of days as it is on the same farm.

Scouted the Harford County areas of Maryland listed in the original part of this thread this morning, looking for my best place to go tomorrow morning.  Very few birds found in the areas from what I could observe.  Even the Deer Creek river is freezing over.  As I write this (lunch time) we have 16 degrees F with tonight to be in single digits if not below that.

Hope the birds are just where I didn't look rather then leaving the area, they fed heavily yesterday around 10AM mostly in corn and wheat, and even saw a few hay fields / pastures with some in it out of the wind.  Sunday its to get back up above freezing to a high of 34 degrees F.
