1 Timothy 2:5-6a
For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men. (NIV)

Thoughts
The trail had been an easy one to hike in beautiful Baxter County, AR. As I topped the rocky ridge, an old wooden bridge challenged me below. The trail wound down the hill into a gorge packed with brush and an assortment of junk that had been washed up with the water from the lake below. The old crossing didn't look secure and encouraged me find a path around. There was no other way around or across without trusting the ancient bridge. I took a deep breath and stepped out on faith. (Brian H.)

Action Point
The world encourages us to believe a wide assortment of things about eternal life. Many buy into the belief that if we live a good life, God will "let us into heaven". Others believe that we simply cease to exist once death comes. Friends, we WILL live forever either in heaven or hell; both are very real places. Thankfully, God has made provision for us to cross the deep gorge between Him and us to avoid hell. He bridged that gap with the cross and the shedding of blood through Jesus Christ. If anyone tells you that there is any way to heaven other than accepting Jesus' atoning work at Calvary, they are misleading you or they simply do not understand the truth. There is only one way to heaven and only one way to God the Father. That is through the narrow way of faith in Jesus Christ. Do you know Him? Step out on faith. The cross is one bridge that will stand forever and you MUST cross it to obtain eternal life with God in heaven.
