CALLERS FOR CHRIST MARYLAND STATE CHAPTER will host:
DELTA WATERFOWL – UPPER CHESAPEAKE
CHARIMAN George Wooden George Wooden’s story is very unique since he didn't start hunting until he was 20 years old. While in the Marine Corps, a friend took him to the Pennsylvania mountains deer hunting. From that point on, he was hooked. Waterfowling was introduced to him by a friend. Since then, he has become an avid duck and goose hunter. What he loves most about waterfowling is spending time in the blind with his son Georgie. Through his eyes, he enjoys every moment afield. George loves the new experiences with Georgie, taking different ducks and seeing his hunting skills progress. George says that he is “very fortunate to have a lot of great friends who enjoy our sport as I do. Waterfowling allows us time to joke, run our dogs and just enjoy being outside. I chose to be a part of Delta Waterfowl. And as the chairman of the Upper Chesapeake Chapter.” He is involved with Delta due to several reasons, he states “...mainly that Delta is a hunting organization...and stands for hunting time and time again. Also, Delta allows our chapter to retain 25% of the money we raise for local projects. I am proud to be the chairman of our chapter and of our volunteers. Our chapter has grown to astronomic proportions due to Delta's Mission statement - For the Future of Waterfowl and Waterfowl Hunting. Through Delta, I have met some really great people and have been exposed to so much. I welcome everyone to have a seat at our table because everyone has a voice....”
THIS EVENT IS FREE AND OPEN TO ALL AGES - come on out to hear what Delta Waterfowl is doing to preserve the traditions of hunting and boosting the waterfowl's habitat
