The Freedom Of Gods Love!

I recieved this in my devotionals and it definitley merited sharing!

The law marked the summit of the covenant of Moses. All who were part of that covenant lived under the law. Their relationship with God was inevitably a master-slave relationship. Paul explains:

"As long as heirs are underage they are no different from slaves, although they own the whole estate. They are subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by their fathers. So also, when we were underage, we were in slavery under the elemental spiritual forces of the world. But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive adoption to Sonship" (Galatians 4:1-5).

When the law ruled, the relationship was a law relationship, a master-slave relationship; but when grace came through Jesus Christ, we were redeemed from the law to walk fully with God as sons. Our grace relationship is a father-son affair. Slaves live in fear of punishment if they break a single one of their master's rules; a mature son lives in the freedom of his father's love.
