I got an invite to go on a duck hunt with a friend for opening day 2009.

It poured down rain the entire time.

Your's truly was blessed with 3 ducks.  The only one in the group who walked away with anything to show for being out in the pouring rain.

Got my first ever blue wing teal.  And the bonus was I got the hen and drake with one shot as they were blazin up the river about 40 yards out and 10 feet off the water.

I'll have to post pictures later.  I'm definetly siked for this season.

I too was invited to hunt with a buddy of mine.  We knocked down 4 woodies but lost one.  One of them had a band too.  Lucky for us the rain stopped long enough for the hunt.  Had to turn down an invite for today.......Congrats on the teal

Way to go on the woodies!

We saw a bunch of woodies opening morning but they always stayed out of range.

I tell you what ... I am pumped and ready to go again.

October 31 is our opener here in kansas and the land owner that has the marsh I hunt said the ducks and geese are already filling up the marsh. Havnt been out to check yet but will soon. Hope everyone has a safe season and an abundant harvest, and remember if you dont have one get a vest for your retriever with the floatations it could be a life safer.
