Hey guys,
I have been meaning to post but have had a lot going on lately.

My dad, brother, and I hunted with Ben Getty out in Washington for three days after Christmas.

First day was awesome. We had scoter moving like crazy and managed to whack 11 with some beautiful drakes. Also had a harlequin come in late in the morning which I promptly put on the water :-)

Second day was a little slow but we still managed to scrape a couple of scoter and a bufflehead. Our shooting wasn't great and we lost an oldsqauw and black scoter (only birds of both species shot the entire trip).

The third day was great. Tons of surfs moving and we filled our limits pretty quick. Unfortunately I couldn't restrain my dad and younger brother well enough to shoot only drakes so we ended out with a lot of immature drakes and hens. Oh well.

On the last day of the trip we had a couple of birds dead on the water when an eagle started circling and eventually grabbed a bird out of the water. I get to see a lot of eagles along the Mississippi River here but was still amazed and the power and beauty of those birds. Also, we had a great time with Ben and Milissa are great people and great guides. We really had an enjoyable time and highly recommend them if any one is looking for a guided sea duck hunt.

Sorry my story is pretty poor but hopefully the pictures will make up for it a little.

Also forgot to mention that I took some time to photograph the nearly tame Skagit snow geese but I will post some photos from that outing in the wildlife photography forum.

Hope you enjoy.
