“Flip” Jennings
Of the Upper Chesapeake Chapter
Of Delta Waterfowl
will be out to show some demonstrations of dog retriever training. Tell your dog lovers about this event. You don’t want them to miss it!
About Philip Jennings:My Dad was a good mentor for fishing, but I had to learn my skills for hunting and shooting by reading the outdoor magazines as a teenager, and later from my friend’ Dad who started me goose hunting on the eastern shore. Most of my waterfowl hunting experience has been goose hunting.
I have always been a dog lover and as a child I had a friend who lived on a farm on the Chesapeake Bay shores and his family always had a pair of Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. It was from this time spent with these dogs that I fell in love with the breed.
I have been training retrievers for waterfowl hunting for fifteen years. I learned how from reading different books on the subject, working with experienced trainers and from others interested in learning. I am a member of The American Chesapeake Club, The DelBay Retriever Club, Pets on Wheels, and as the program director of The Delta Dogs program I would like to share my knowledge, along with some of my knowledgeable friends and training partners with others interested in training. My goal is to get all of the dogs purchased with the intensions of becoming a great waterfowl retriever to come true.
