Whether you are hunting a blind, pit, layout, or just plain laying in the field amongst the decoys ... as the season progresses, and the birds get seasoned, you must conceal yourself.  I share the following picture:

If in the above picture, the doors were closed on these blinds, and my brother wasn''''''''t sitting there texting, you wouldn''''''''t even know we where there.  So many hunters spend so much time setting up the decoys and then spend the last fleeting minutes before the first flight trying to camo their blinds.

Concealment should be one of your priorities.  You can purchase artificial grasses ect, to help camo your blinds, but nothing beats the natural vegitation that surrounds your set up.  I am a firm believer in the later.  Add a couple of tools to your equipment list for your next outing.  A fan rake, hand pruners, saw and even a shovel.  A little extra work on your part up front will pay great dividends on your success rate.

Oh you know why...

If they aren''t there it doesn''t matter
If they see you it doesn''t matter
How many geese do you bring down that you don''t call at, and if you can''t do it you know you want to learn. Oh yeah and pass shooting isn''t hunting, it''s just shooting.  Without the call they don''t fall!
No movement, no finish!
does that really look like a flock of geese???
It doesn''t matter how well you shoot if they are not in range, and any real hunter knows that the true range on a good killing shot if no more than 50 yards outside of that is the lucky BB.  So you could be the very best shot in the world and still not kill geese.
