Spring Migration

I started noticing it yesterday, and this morning all the more.  High flying waterfowl pointed northward.  Seen Brant, Canada Geese, and swans.

I''ve been noticing in my neck of the woods for the last week less and less birds in the fields.   Guess Spring is on it''s way. 

Can we fast forward to September??

Our last day to hunt canada geese here in my area is next Saturday March 5th.  I was to go tomorrow morning, but had to bail as we may get some ice tonight which will cause me to work in the morning.

Hope to get to go out last day next week.  (and maybe once more in between if I can squeeze it in.)

All night this past friday night (March 4th), my ears where ringing with the sound of canadian geese around my house flying northward.

Saturday (March 5th) was our last day for canadian honkers.  As we sat in the blinds, we saw wave after wave of Swans heading northward.  Probably over a thousand.  We also witnessed several hundred canadians heading home.
