Yesterday morning, My brother and I headed west and teamed up with Gone Wild Outdoors, again in the pursuit of geese. We were going "back to the well" We were setting up in a spot that we have killed 29 geese in the last two weeks, hoping that it hadn''''''''''''''''t gone dry yet. We decided to up the decoy numbers from 2 dozen to 4 dozen, in hopes of making a different look.
With a heavy frost and the blinds brushed, 4 dozen decoys placed, the shuck and jive began at 6:40 AM with two birds dropping in.

The morning warmed up, the frost left and very little birds where in the air. We had a few birds check us out hard, but we were unable to get them within gun range. Possibly the last couple of outings had been a little to much of a recent memory for them, I''''''''''''''''m not exactly sure.

Good times were still had; however, as the jokes were rolling:

Another great outing with two birds harvested by A Higher Calling Huntin'''' Team and Gone Wild Outdoors:

The Resident Population season will end here in Maryland on Saturday. Lord willing, we will be out to another spot again ... in the pursuit of geese.
