Yes the Government of New Zealand as of yesterday have taken Geese of the Game bird list and thrown in with Rabbits, Rats, Wild Pigs
and anything Framers don’t like.  Angry
So now you can shoot them any time, 24/7 . and with What every you like .22 . 243 .270,  8 mm, 375, even a base ball bat.
Yes I’m a little disappointed as this is going to change the hunting scene here in New Zealand
Not great news but that''s life sometimes  Huh

Not good.

Tell your government they can hire some of us U.S. boys to come over and thin that flock.

My team''s ready, we just need air fare, lodging, licensing, and a stipen to cover miscellanious needs like food and water.

Seriously, that can make it unsporting in my book.

Sometimes governments and farmers are looking at it wrong, they need to promote hunting tourism through it to bolster the economy .
Lodging would benifit guides , sporting goods retail , licenses and much more!
Geese are not a pest but a cash cow and a great opportunity.....
Someone needs to present that to the government.
The U.S wished it had your problem and could start over with close monitoring of the population and habitat to maintain healthy numbers for sportsmen and women to enjoy and for future generations.

Just the flip side point of view....
