Well our Game bird season started in New Zealand on the 7th of May. And I’ve been down our West coast to a coastal lagoon
 for opening weekend.
We had average weather, some cloud but fine with showers on Saturday evening but it cleared. In all 5 of us got 22 ducks,
my 12 year old son got 2 and i ended up with 8 ducks.
Now why I forgot to get photos of our ducks I don’t know  all I got photos of the lagoon scenery.
On Tuesday went out after Paradise Duck with two mates on a farm with some green feed, there were about 50-60 birds in field,
the guys dropped me off where we saw 6 birds at the bottom of the field
then they put the 50 odd birds off the paddock to set up their spread  of silhouettes.  By the time they setup I had 4 from 4 shots on the ground and in the next 30 min I limited out with a pair then 4 more parries in one mob before the two guys had 1.
Now that was the best I''ve ever done on Parries for 16 rounds
Am going out scouting and looking at getting into some geese this on Friday or Saturday had about 300 sitting on the lagoon here in Blenheim will let you know how it go’s.
Cheers Russell
