Should I Hunt from Boat, Layout, or Wade

My hunting partner and I have had success finding the geese for opening day Saturday but we are trying to figure what would be the best tactic for hunt the geese. The geese are coming from a field a few hundred yards away and landing on an island that has grass growing about knee high on it and only 12ft by 5ft wide. This island some days will be covered in water and other days not. We have the option of hunting this island from a boat blind, layout blind, or wading. If we use the boat blind it will put us beside the grass and not in it. If we use the layout blinds we maybe sitting in water 3-5 inchs deep. If we simply wade in we would not be very well camo\'d. If any of you have been in the same situation please give your insight for what has worked for you. Thanks

Heres what I would do..
Take as little supplies as possible, if you can keep your shells in a plastic case, wear your waders and hunt out of the layouts. Your legs will stay dry and hopefully your mid section will be up enough that you and your gun wont get soaked.. if this is a common scenario you may want to consider a neo tub or water mocassin for your layouts. Thanks and let me know how the hunt goes.

Neo tubs and layout blinds for sure but make sure your are grassed out perfect! The only thing is if I understood you right this is where the geese are flying to so you are more than likely going to be the center of attention so perfection is necessary! Is there any way you can hunt the shore and not the island? What is the distance to the Island from the shore?
Also decoy used full bodies on the island rester\'s preferred and lookers then floaters in the water coming to the island to simulating birds that have just landed and are swimming in then put a pair of feeders meeting them at the shore to simulated a territorial dispute which will justify calling aggressively....
I hoped this helped!
