My buddy and I scouted out one of his private spots for the last couple of days and decided to give it a gay this morning. We brought out my dad and his buddy as well. Right away we were landing birds in big numbers. Right at shooting light we landed a group of about 150 mallards, boy was that awesome. The river that we hunted is about 10 yards wide at its widest spot but it worked well for decoying birds. The end result was 23 ducks, 4 honkers, and 1 band. My buddy cameron shot his first band and it was the first band we had ever seen in this area of oregon!
