To separate or become separate into parts (or Sects.) : 2. To classify : group(or Sects.) 3. To separate into opposing factions (or Sects.) : disunite. Notice the common thread: to separate & divide which is the end result of naming or putting into a sect. Or group, classification or designation ect. . So what does the bible have to say? It says to be in Unity which is just the opposite of disunite, the last word in the definition above! Ephesians 4:1-6 1.I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2. With all lowliness and gentleness, with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love, 3.endevoring to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace. 4. There is one body and one spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5. One lord, one faith, one baptism; 6. One God and father of all, and through all, and in you all. Psalm 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! John 17:11 (the words of Jesus) 11. Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to you. Holy father, keep through your name those whom you have given me, that they may be one as we are. Philippians 2:1-2 Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the spirit, if any affection and mercy, 2. Fulfill my joy by being like minded, having the same love, being of one accord and of one mind. 1 Corinthians 1:10-17 10. Now I plead with you dear brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and the same judgment. 11. For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of chloe's household that there are contentions among you. 12. Now I say this, that each of you says "I am of Paul" or "I am of Apollos" or " I am of Cephas"or "I am of Christ." ( Example; "I am a Baptist"or "I am a Catholic"or "I am a Luthren" Ect. ect.........) 13. Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? or were you baptized in the name of Paul? 14. I thank God that I baptized none of you except Gaius, 15. Lest any of you should say that I had baptized you in my own name. 16. Yes, I also baptized the house hold of Stephanas. Besides I do not know whether I baptized any other. 17. For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the Gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ be made of no effect Matthew 12:25 1. But Jesus knew there thoughts, and said to them: "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. The bottom line is every kingdom and doctrine, denomination, made by the hands of man instead of the Holy spirit of God, causing division and separations or ,confusion, between God and his relationship with man or among his people shall come to desolation and fall! So that the whole body of Christ can be of one mind, one accord, one heart in thought and purpose. Just like a car or vehicle if you will, if all the parts of the car went in separate directions the car would fall apart. But if they all came together in their place and functioned according to the manual the way the designer (God) intended it , it would function flawlessly. All parts working harmoniously with each other , making a vehicle or( vessel) if you will to really go some where in the hands of God and advance the Kingdom of God here on earth. Glory be to Jesus Christ! There will just be the Kingdom of God and his plan Written by Shane Rossen through the inspiration of Gods word & the Holy spirit.
