Calvary shows how far men will go in sin, and how far God will go for man's salvation. H. C. Trumbull Luke 22:33 33When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left. Calvary also shows proof that man is enslaved to sin and a stranger to God by birth since the disobedience of Adam and Eve. Romans 5:12,19 12 When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. It also shows how far God will go to be reconciled to his creation and it is also a spiritual type and shadow of how one becomes alive to God by the death of self and birth of your spirit through the new birth experience making them his children and alive to God! This being bought and Payed for by the blood of the lamb our Savior Jesus Christ! ![]() Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” Hebrews 9:27-28 (New Living Translation) 27 And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, 28 so also Christ died once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him. Romans 10:9-13 (New King James Version) 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”[a] 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” # Hebrews 2:3 So what makes us think we can escape if we ignore this great salvation that was first announced by the Lord Jesus himself and then delivered to us by those who heard him speak? |
